4th Wednesday of Lent // Departure

At last, the time has come... to trek over to Jerusalem to witness all the Easter traditions, meditate, pray, be around family, eat delicious food, see the country, perhaps visit others...

16 hours of flying lay ahead of me (not including layovers) and at this point all I'm wanting is that falafel I can't wait to get my hands on... nevermind all that cramped space, cold drafts, seats i can't recline, people behind me kicking my seat...
I just want falafel. NOW!
Ever since I've had it, I've tried in vain to find falafel stateside that compares to those found in Jerusalem, of course to no avail... and I should content myself with this, because for this last month before Easter, I am going to be fasting with the family and having a limited diet. It's all fine with me because 1. I want to be exactly like everyone else in the house and not the 'spoiled guest from the West' and 2. mostly... really, if I can amaze myself by the sheer fact that I have faithfully given up chocolate for Lent (3 weeks thus far), then I am truly capable of anything. And I must admit I usually eat chocolate everyday... at least a little piece! Shocking but true! It's all in the will power :)

I am very excited and looking forward to what lays ahead in the coming 3 months. Although I doubt I'll develop my own "Jesus complex," I anticipate I shall return somewhat changed... renewed?
RESURRECTED!
(sorry, I really couldn't help myself with that one...:) )
Only time will tell. +
